“The Regression of Evolution: from Arrow to Grenade”

This hybrid sculpture merges a bronze arrow with a grenade replacing its tip, embedded in a block of raw concrete. By reversing the direction of progress — from primitive weapon to modern explosive — the work offers a critical view of human evolution.

Reglovution, a coined term blending “rule,” “regression,” and “revolution,” evokes the tension between order and chaos, control and destruction.

Both absurd and symbolic, the piece denounces the brutality of technological advancement when it is harnessed for violence.
Planted into a construction material, the sculpture also questions what we choose to build — and what we choose to blow up.
