JUDABIS

Judabis is a webcam-cover device conceived as a piece of jewelry for a laptop.
At the intersection of utility object, personal manifesto, and art piece, it replaces the black tape or makeshift covers that many people stick over their cameras.
Inspired by the Judas hole (peephole), Judabis questions our daily gestures of protection, surveillance, and control.
In a world where intimacy is constantly being negotiated, where domestic space is pierced by the digital gaze, Judabis invites us to slow down and reflect.
It transforms a banal act — masking a webcam — into a symbolic, aesthetic, and intentional gesture.
This discreet laptop jewel plays with paradox: borrowing the shape of a surveillance tool to reclaim the right to not be seen.
“To believe in the possibility of privacy.”
That’s what Judabis offers — a poetic form of protection, and a gentle critique of our hyperconnected world.
