Cliché playfully subverts the symbol of Adam and Eve’s apple by inserting a zipper into the fruit.
This object — both familiar and laden with meaning — takes on an ambivalent form, suspended between nature and artifice.
The title Cliché cheekily refers to the so-called forbidden fruit, which is only an apple in Western iconography.
The work challenges our fixed representations, while subtly playing with the codes of desire and taboo.
